Anankelogy Principles
Nature-based anankelogy, the study of need.
Which do you think is more likely?
Apart from written laws, you have a right to believe and do as your conscious dictates, because all beliefs about moral conduct are culturally relative.
OR
There are universal principles equally applicable to all members of humanity, and failure to live by them equally result in problems.
Nature-based anankelogy recognizes needs as objective phenomenon. Core needs exist as universal phenomenon. How we experience our core needs includes some variance. How we ease these core needs drifts into realms of relativity. But let’s not jump to extremes by declaring it all relative (since “all” is itself an absolute).
Each of these listed anankelogy principles speak to maintaining or restoring function, or avoiding defunction. Function provides the anchor for universality.

I don't require a lot of cash.
My bill collectors do.
Your first reaction perhaps is amusement. “Of course, you don’t require a lot of cash if you’ve already spent it.” But this goes deeper than that. Our current economic norms are warped to fit mass society.
It takes for granted such oppositional norms as specialized producer and exploited consumer, and commodified goods for basic needs and a convoluted banking system to access them.
I do not choose its imposition upon me. I know I would be far more content in the personal traded traditions of my Haudenosaunee ancestors.

And in John 8: “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.”
The Quran gives this an ironic twist. “If a brother accuses a brother of being kafir, an infidel, then one of them is right.”
If a prosecutor accuses a defendant of being selfish, the critique of the prosecutor’s selfish tendencies is instantly in order.
Lest projection of shame gets sanctioned with the state’s exclusivity to violence. “Not many of us should be leaders” to be held to a stricter standard.

When you don’t own your needs, your needs impulsively own you.

In the tradition of my Haudenosaunee ancestors, I do not “sell” this inspired creation of anankelogy as individually owned intellectual property but offer it free to all. Once I put it all out there, according to indigenous principles, it no longer belongs to me. It belongs to us all.
I do accept donations. I do not require a lot of cash; my bill collectors do. This is how a latter-day Native like myself can balance both worlds. Thank you.
