Innocence Support Terms of Use

By accessing and using this service, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. In addition, when using this website’s particular services, you shall be subject to any posted guidelines or rules applicable to such services, which may be posted and modified from time to time. All such guidelines or rules are hereby incorporated by reference into the TOS.

 

ANY PARTICIPATION IN THIS SITE WILL CONSTITUTE ACCEPTANCE OF THIS AGREEMENT. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ABIDE BY THE ABOVE, PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SITE.

 

Rights

 

You choose which information to post on your profile page. You may change which information gets displayed at any time. [Currently this process is does manually, and you agree to allow us reasonable time to fulfill your change orders.]

 

You may withdraw from this service at any time. You own your data. You agree to have us host your data for the explicit purpose of supporting your innocence claim asserting a wrongful conviction and any remedies for overcoming the wrongful conviction. Your right to privacy is assured; your information is never used for any other purpose than the purpose stated here.

 

You retain the right to have us remove all data from our safekeeping, and order us to destroy any of your date we have on file. You allow us up to 24 hours to properly dispose all such data.

 

[Currently, your data remains in a spreadsheet only you and Value Relating staff can access. As this service grows your data is to be stored on secure external servers.]

 

Risks

 

By using this service, you agree you have read the following risks and any offered mitigation of such risks. You then agree have been properly informed to use the service as is.

 

When posting controversial information in profile section (Claimant narrative), claimant agrees they are informed of the following risks:

  • you risk subjecting yourself to harassment from those doubting your innocence;

  • you risk subjecting yourself to retribution from those doubting your innocence with access to you and your property;

  • you risk subjecting yourself to official misconduct by

  • you risk subjecting yourself to termination of employment if not already self-disclosed to your employer;

  • you risk subjecting yourself to eviction from rented housing if not already self-disclosed to your landlord.

 

You further agree to acknowledge other risks not foreseen here.

 

Mitigating risks

 

Claimant, or proxy on claimant’s behalf, can mitigate such risks by using a pseudonym (transparently, put within quotation marks) and using a stock image avatar instead of actual image of claimant.

Responsibilities

You agree to our screening of posted information to maximize its impact, which may include censoring prurient information potentially undermining the purpose of attracting wide support for your acclaimed innocence.

Disputes

You agree to settle any dispute by first exhausting all conciliatory options, unless those you charge with offense fail to remain conciliatory, as independently determined by an impartial party.

 

You agree to settle any dispute first by exhausting internal remedies.

Payment

 

If you elect to access any paid component of the Services, such as becoming a subscriber, you agree to pay all fees and charges associated with that paid component on a timely basis.

 

Unless otherwise stated, all fees and charges are due and payable in advance, are non-refundable, and are exclusive of any applicable federal, state, or local taxes.

 

All such fees and charges (including any taxes and late fees, as applicable) will be charged to the payment method you provided when you elected to access that paid component of the Services.

 

You agree to maintain a valid payment method during the term of your use of such Services.
