Data you provide may be used to help validate or invalidate the hypotheses in this book, and in the eCourse. Its more immediate benefit is normalizing your own set of needs that often get expressed in political terms. No, just because your politics remain different from others this does not mean you're crazy.

Nonetheless, you may not want others know you're taking this survey. We use no demographic data, so your anonymity is fully assured. The only risk we foresee is evoking intense and potentially uncomfortable emotions associated with political conflicts you may have encountered with others. While we seek to ultimately remedy such conflicts and their frequent painful results, you are free to steer clear of such discomfort and discontinue this quiz at any time.

As a form of data collection, your participation is fully voluntary. You are under no obligation to complete this survey for any purpose. You can stop filling it out at any time without any repurcussions. Except we would not be able to serve its purpose to alleviate any political tensions which you may still endure. We trust you will decide what is best for you and your needs, which we prioritize over any need we have for this data.

Extortion clause

If we offer you opportunity to create mutual value with us in lieu of our queued adversarial options, and you react by charging us with extortion, be warned:

  1. It does not fit the legal definition for extortion

  2. It threatens the vulnerable with more coercion to accommodate more of your privileged exaction.

  3. It crashes your legitimacy. [cascade ostracization]

We offer our Power Coaching service to those already exacting value from Impactees. We affirm the benefits the Impactee receives under any agreement with you. But we go further to identify unintended costs the client Impactee endures, to the detriment of their wellbeing and life’s full potential. Further, we assume you do not intend to impose such costs, as you likely would object to such costs imposed upon you.

You as an Impactor can always decline our services, with the understanding the client Impactee’s adversarial options remain set to be utilized.

You always retain the voluntary option to let go of your influence over the Reporting Impactee. At no direct financial benefit to ourselves, you can always release the client Impactee from coercive terms without our intervention.

Once you enter into a legal agreement with our client Impactee, we hold that you are also under the higher laws of nature that gives purpose to arbitrary human laws.

While no one sits above love, you admit no law sits above needs. In accepting our terms of service, you admit the role of laws cannot sufficiently address the coercive influence your position of power can have over those under your privileged influence.

Translegal Standards

Value Relating priortizes the manifest needs to be served by legal statutes over the latent needs served by its politically sanctioned and often arbitrary enforcements. Presentations of latent needs prioritized over manifest needs is grounds for accountability impeachment.

Need purpose

Italicized sentences provide for the internal psychosocial wellness standard of identifying the primary need a law is purposed to serve, often with a clause establishing why a legal statue is necessary to serve the stated need (as opposed to nonlegal modes), with the humility that other impacted needs could fall outside the law's current wording and enforcement. Any citation of law absent of respecting impacted needs opens one to psychosocial accountability impeachment.

Beyond legalities

No one is above the law, yet no law is above need.

We are not literally governed by written laws, but by needs that shape our laws. We socially construct our laws in response to shared understandings of our needs.

When someone is accused of breaking a law, we are really claiming that they violated a shared agreement on how best to respect the underlying needs that shaped that law. Apart from impacts upon actual needs, few if anyone care about such laws. We laugh at the outmoded laws still on the books since the 19th Century. All laws exist to serve actual needs, or it is no law at all.

But whose needs? Any law violating your capacity to relieve a need violates you, including those relying on you. You can endure that violence graciously, but for whom does your restraint create the most value? And should you not be properly compensated for such value, or at least your loved ones, by those who benefit the most from your fortitude?

Does money distort value? We can think of money as exchangeable units of marketable productivity. What if you produce value not easily compensated by money? Who charges for their inspiring smile that saved another from going through with a suicide? We appear to value portable wealth over getting to know how we honestly impact one another’s expressed needs.

Are anyone’s needs more important than yours? Are any of your needs more important than theirs? Sure, you may feel a need as most urgent, but does this warrant more attention away from others attending to their urgent needs? Or theirs away from yours?

Is politics really the answer? Or hopelessly overgeneralizing?

Any political solution that does not respect the specific needs of all involved will naturally evoke resistance. For those relishing a political fight, perhaps this is a good thing. Conflict porn, here we come!

But conflicts cannot be resolved without all the needs laid out on the table. Disrespecting the needs of others presents as an artifact of masculine oriented Manichean politics. Morality serves needs. So wherever we disrespect a need we allow evil to creep in, often in the name of politics.

Manichean politics, borrowed from Haidt (2012), refers to polarizing politics where partisans tend to reflect the Manichean view that morality involves a struggle between ultimate good and ultimate evil. [see p. 1 of Ch 22]

.

No room for hubris of abitrary law

While recognizing that no individual or entity is above the law, as a widely agreed understanding, translegal standards recognize that nature itself is above all of our written laws.

The

Consulting User Agreement

To optimize this experience for you, there are some ground rules to quickly cover. Feel free to provide feedback to these, and ask for adjustments where necessary.

  1. Scheduled times are firm. If you must cancel or reschedule, please let me know a day in advance. You can cancel up to one hour prior to the start time to avoid being charged. I can wait a few minutes if you’re running late, but this will shorten our time together. Before meeting in public for our first time, it helps if you send me a photo of yourself so I will recognize you. I will wait for you at our agreed upon location up until ten minutes after the scheduled start time, and then leave if no one self-identifies as yourself. If you send me a photo I can wait longer, and be more certain it is you who approaches me.

  2. No physical contact besides a handshake. Later, after deepening our rapport, we can mutually determine if a platonic hug is appropriate, especially in your moment of needing a spiritually supportive tactile connection.

  3. This is a paid service. After the first ten-minute grace period, you will be charged an agreed upon amount per hour. I charge $25 per hour for my initial profrienship service. If you cannot afford $25 per hour now, I can reduce the amount to as low as $10 per hour. The difference becomes my investment in you. If we continue this working relationship, you will be afforded opportunity to make a return on this investment (e.g., referral to others who pay full price). If you can afford more than the billed amount, considering adding a tip to offset my costs to those who cannot afford full price. Any food or other purchased items does not count toward the agreed upon hourly rate, unless part of a hardship affordability request.

  4. Payment is by card, PayPal, or cash (no checks, no bitcoin, no money order, etc.). Process your payment here. Scheduling any follow-up session is contingent on payment up front of agreed upon amount. Discounts and waivers can be discussed to fit the situation’s need.

  5. This is not a counseling service. At least not in the traditional sense. I do not diagnose for mental illness, and I even challenge the medical model behind the concept of mental illness. ProFriendship serves as the initial phase for what is called psychosociotherapy—which treats relationships and not individuals. This effectively removes the stigma of seeking support. What shame is there in asking a friend for emotional support?

  6. This relationship is professional. Unless we already have a relationship outside of this arrangement, I maintain professional borders by avoiding contact. If by some chance we see each other outside of this arrangement, I will politely acknowledge you as someone in my social sphere, much as a hired lawyer or consultant would nod to you in public. To preserve rapport, I will leave it to you to tell others that I am your hired advocate for your cause. You might inspire them to hire me, and potentially receive credit for such a referral.

  7. This service cannot guarantee outcomes. Satisfying results depend largely on how well you are able to apply its tools, and on some factors beyond our control. Delving into your emotional experiences risks unintended consequences, such as eliciting anxieties you may not have known you had. As a professional provider, I may recommend qualified services that can better serve your elicited needs. Your welfare is my priority.

  8. This service aims to start you on a meaningful journey. It quickly progresses from a simple friendship model to a full-on advocacy model. The service may not be a good fit for you if you simply need someone to talk to on a regular basis. I cannot promise to see you at this simple friendship level while others eagerly wait for me to support their aspirations. You are always free to discontinue this service at any time. I trust you will stay the course to finally reach your dreams.

There could be other items added as we find necessary. Together, we can figure out what set of ground rules to apply to optimize our time together.

Enthusiastically,
